EVOVERT Vertical Fan Coil Units

The EVOVERT is a compact, wall-mounted vertical fan coil unit that is designed for exposed or concealed applications. It delivers exceptional energy savings, quiet operation, and reliable, flexible comfort control. The range is available as the EVOVERT235 with a unit depth of 235mm and, for spaces that demand a higher-capacity vertical unit, the EVOVERT270 with a depth of 270mm.

Both can be configured with either bottom/front inlet & front/top discharge spigots, allowing for greater flexibility when installing on site. For exposed applications, the EVOVERT can be encased in either a high or low level powder coated casing. Both can be fitted with either an Ability supplied or a free issue controls package.

EVOZEUS Vertical Fan Coil Units for hotels and residential application

The EVOZEUS fan coil units are designed for the residential and hotel markets for installation behind wardrobes and in concealed applications. They deliver strong thermal performance but in a vertically orientated unit. They can be fitted with either an Ability supplied or free issue controls package. Vertical fan coil units are offered as a chassis-only unit or with a bolt‑on acoustic discharge plenum and can be supplied in two sections for easier manual handling on site.

The EVOZEUSPLUS is a 270mm deep draw through vertical FCU and at 235mm, the EVOZEUS235 is a reduced-depth variant designed for tighter installation spaces while maintaining the range’s high efficiency and flexibility.

Witness testing: Supporting the specification of Ability vertical fan coil units

At Ability by Dimplex, we carry out comprehensive testing of our vertical fan coil units at a dedicated facility in our factory in Poole, Dorset. We also offer witness testing, providing clients with complete transparency and confidence in the testing process and results relevant to their project.

Using the client’s drawings, we replicate ductwork layouts, grille locations and other system elements in our testing laboratory. By matching the vertical fan coil unit selection, the testing results enable specifiers and contractors to validate design choices, confirm compliance with project requirements and fine-tune the fan coil system design before on-site installation and commissioning.

FCU testing includes:

Acoustic testing: Confirms that sound levels meet specification, ensuring the acoustic performance of the installed fan coil units is as expected.
Volumetric performance testing: Verifies airflow, air resistance and pressure drops to streamline fan coil commissioning.
Thermal performance testing: Demonstrates heating and cooling outputs, fan coil performance and condensate management, ensuring the finished design delivers both comfort and efficiency.

All FCU testing is carried out using high-quality, regularly calibrated testing equipment. Once the vertical fan coil testing is complete, clients receive a detailed report that includes test results, photographs, layout drawings and calibration certificates.
